THERE ARE ONLY 73 DAYS OF SCHOOL LEFT THIS YEAR!!!!!! This includes the weekends! I am so excited to end the school year because we are going to France, my cousins are coming to Minnesota, there's also all of the summer camps, and the best part is THERE'S NO SCHOOL!!!!! I can't wait!! It is so close and everyday it gets closer! Soon it will be just a couple of weeks!! The good news is that this is the part of the year that takes a really long time and so then after this quarter the year flies by. So soon the year will be over!

I hate Spanish class, and even if I have to take a foreign language next year I won't take Spanish unless I have to or it is the easiest, or all of the other teachers are bad. Anyway now there's a massive vocab test next week!!! And it's on all of the food vocab and how to say it in the different countries! Also the test is on all of the food adjectives. In total there are probably around 200 words that we have to define! And the test is on Tuesday!!!
I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!! I can see spring break approaching!!! Then we are going to Colorado into the mountains. I hope that no classes give us a crap ton of homework because that would suck. I hate it when teachers give you all of this homework over spring break or another holiday. I wish that teachers would collaborate so that there wouldn't be all of this homework over any period of time. We have all of these projects this week. Well at least there's no real big homework so far this week. I hope that there will be no homework but anyway I am really excited for spring break!
OKAY AT THIS POINT IT TAKES ME 4 TRIES TO PUBLISH 1 POST AND IT FORGETS WHAT THE POST SAYS AND THEN WON'T LET ME COPY AND PASTE IT!!!! I am going to switch blog providers to WordPress soon because this SUCKS. I think that if you don't buy their stupid pro thing or whatever the quality is crap. Don't use it because I had a post about spring break that was supposed to go here but it wouldn't post it!
I have run out of topics and so I have come to talk about all of the omens that never happened. Everyone says that something bad will happen on Friday the 13th, but nothing ever does. (I mean like a catastrophe, or terrorist threat, or war that involves us like another world war, and not something like a small car crash.) Anyway another thing is December 21st 2012. You know that movie 2012, it was about the end of the world. Everyone thought that since the Mayan calendar stopped the world was going to end. (REALLY? REALLY?!? Just because a calendar ends there doesn't mean that the world will end!!!!!!!) There were all these clocks counting down until the supposed "end of the world." All of these people were spending all there money on stuff like TV's and really expensive stuff because they thought the world was ending. Then the next day everyone work up and it was just another regular old day. SO the thing was a total myth that never happened. Oh yeah, all of the people that had spent all of their money were now freaking screwed over and have no money, but they do have a Lamborghini. I guess that they can sleep in it because they can't afford their house any more and the car isn't worth as much as it was brand new. So I never believe in that stuff and probably never will. Anyway there won't be some weird thing that ends the world.
There was an assembly yesterday. I got to help setup and run the audio equipment. It was fun and the people singing were good too. Also since I got to help with rehearsals I didn't have to go to much class. The sound panel is fun to operate and helping setup was fun too. I hope that I get to do that next time too. I think that the next assembly is going to be the quarter four assembly at the beginning of April. I hope that I can do it then too.
I saw Into the Woods over the weekend. It was TWO HOURS LONG AND THE PLOT COULD HAVE BEEN TOLD IN TEN MINUTES!!!! Since this movie was based on several fairy tales there was a giant. So I was thinking that they would just kill the giant and be done but there was more singing and more different stuff and then when you finally thought that they were done singing, like the music started to change or something. Then you think "YES IT'S OVER!!!!," and then they start singing again. (Then there would be this same cycle repeated over and over and over and over again. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!") So then when they finally killed the thing it was like, oh whatever. So not the best movie.
My grandma has come to visit us from Colorado! I think that she is at the airport now or is on a plane very close to landing. I am very excited to see her because she is going to spend around a week with us. I think that we are going to have fun this weekend and we are going to visit them over spring break and I think that we are going to have a great time there too. Now though tonight is my little brother's friend birthday party. They are all meeting up at the Grand Slam and I think that it will be fun to hang out there. He is turning nine and he has invited a lot of his friends.
There was a science fieldtrip yesterday. I enjoyed the fieldtrip except there were a few problems with it. The fieldtrip was hosted at the University of Minnesota and that was just fine. (We were visiting the science exhibits that the college students hade made and were showing off.) The fieldtrip was very uncoordinated and so we were running around getting separated from our groups and then getting rejoined and then getting lost. Also instead of hanging all of our coats up they mixed all the coats in carts. This is how head lice spreads so I kept my coat with me. I think that they should try harder to minimize head lice because they always are saying "We have a head lice problem! Head lice are at school be careful blah blah blah..." Then they take us on these field trips that put all of our coats in bins and then that spreads the head lice even more. Other than those two problems I really liked the field trip and I think that we should do this kind of thing more often. That show was great because we got cool engineering projects that we got to keep. Also it was fun to look at stuff and play around with it. Also it wasn't boring. There were alternative fuels, a show from the raptor center, hydrogen fuel cell cars, electric solar panel cars, the college version of Formula One, robots, 3D printers, dry ice, drones, and lots of other stuff that we didn't have time to look at. I hope that next year they host another one and we get to go to that one too.
So last night me and my friend tested the space bus and It was awesome! I there are a few problems with the bus like energy consumption. The bus runs out of power very quickly once in space. Then once the energy runs out the air, coolant, and energy exchangers stop and then we both suffocate. The bus needs more sources of power, either more solar panels or on board generators. After that I think that we will be okay. Other then that we have no problems except the movement problems. I think that we just need more powerful thrusters and then we will be alright. Right now we are getting stuck in the planet's gravitational pull so with more powerful thrusters we should be able to leave the gravitational pull. If we fix those problems then we should be able to fly perfectly.
Spacebuild 3 is an awesome addon for Garry's Mod. I am currently converting a city bus so that it can go to space. I put all of the life support in the back so that it would look cool. Unfortunately all the compressors and tanks weighed like half a ton each and that went over the bus's weight limit and the entire back of the bus is scraping along the ground. I was test driving it to test it to see if it would still drive because I wanted it to drive and fly. I didn't test the suspension because the bus was jacked up in the air so that I could access the bottom of the bus. So then when I unfroze it and tried to drive it I had no idea that the bus was dragging on the ground. I did fit it out with climate control and air exchangers so that people who rode the bus could walk around inside without needing to constantly stop by the suit dispenser to refill. This probably didn't help the suspension deal with the extra weight either. I am planning on finishing it tonight.

The third quarter always seems the slowest. Once the third quarter is over though usually the rest of the year flies by and then before you know it it's summer. I can't wait for summer vacation! We are going to France, there will be no school, no homework, it will be warm, I will be able to ride my electric scooter, and the school gives us the day off at valley fair on the last day so it is one of the best days ever! But right now, as I said, we are in the third quarter, the slowest part of the year. Now after the end of the quarter which is spring break, the rest of the year seems to fly by, but until then it is going to be really boring.
I am very happy because there's really no homework this week. I hope that they don't give us a lot of homework over the weekend because that would suck. I am also very glad that the science test got moved to Wednesday instead of having it on Monday. I am also very happy that I there's been no math homework so far and the fact of there not being lots of language arts homework. I think that I will be able to enjoy my weekend very much!
News alive is going well this year. We are accomplishing a lot of stuff in just one hour of class. I think that even though we only have an hour to work. I am glad to be in this class because it is fun to edit and mess around with computers, as well as hang out with your friends in the class. I am one of the news anchors and I love doing the class every Wednesday. I also think that the class teaches a lot of important skills that will be useful in later life. You are learning how to find information online and use computers and shared documents. As well as collaborate and interact with others to finish the task at hand. Also you are earning about technology and practicing typing and seeing what really happens behind the scenes.
I had a wonderful birthday. I got some really cool stuff. I got Destiny, a new keyboard for my Surface, a couch, a weather center online transmitter, Minecraft Legos, Lego Architecture Eifel Tower and a few other things. I really like the Surface keyboard because it is actual buttons instead of touch sensors, I didn't mind the touch sensors but this is better for typing. Also it seems stronger and it is backlit. The couch I really like because it is comfortable and it can sit three people. Also it can fold out into a bed so that if someone spends the night they have somewhere to sleep. Also the couch fits into my room. The Acu-Rite weather center online transmitter works with the weather center that I got for Christmas. So now I have online data of weather at our house and the region. Also the center works great and has accurate weather forecast predictions. They are actually usually pretty close, so you can have free weather data. Also it really does beat the professionals at predictions. I had a good birthday.
For the first time on a Monday I haven't had lots of homework. I also am glad because it is my birthday today. In addition to not have lots of homework so that I can actually do stuff tonight and mess around with my presents instead of having to do my homework. Also I already have got one of my presents, the couch. I really like it and I think that it suits my room. And now I have no homework so more time to celebrate.
My birthday is coming soon and I am very excited. Last year I got really god stuff on ,y birthday and I had a really good ice cream cake. The only problem is, my birthday is on a Monday so I have to go to school. You should get the day off on your birthday. There's also lot due that week as well. I really would like the day off. Also I think that I will get some great stuff this year too.
There's a 10 page Spanish packet!!!!! I really hate Spanish class and now they are throwing more crap at me! I really hope that there's not a huge year end exam that we have to take because she's constantly saying, "you're going to be tested on this and this and this and this and this." I really don't like this class because when will I ever need to use it in my life? NEVER! This packet is on something that we have practiced anyway. Please tell me in the comments uses for Spanish in engineering jobs.
THERE ARE MORE TOWS NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want to only have one or the other for journal and not both. When do we get only one? And now we have more tests and more homework all do on Monday! What a great birthday gift because my birthday is on Monday! I wish that there wasn't so much work. At any rate we are almost to the end of the week and we are going to be out for the weekend soon.
The school hasn't gone out yet. 2 years ago we had a problem at school when it exploded. It was on a day with -20 degree weather. The boiler was making a funny smell as it went out. I know this because the boiler is right next to the ventilation equipment. So the smell and smoke were being pumped through the school through the ventilation equipment. That is probably is what would have killed most people. Even if you were on the top floor you could still choke from the smoke. My friend who was near the boiler when it went off told me this. He was standing outside the band room when he hears this BOOM!!!! The floor rattled and shook, then the fire alarm went off. So he put two and two together and left. He saw that the hall was full of smoke as he left. The boiler is not the original boiler, but it has got to be at least 60 years old. My friend also took a tour of the school in third grade. He said that there were 2 boilers in the boiler room. A black coal one, with probably is the original one, and a blue one. The blue one is a natural gas one that heats the school. When we evacuated the nurse got on the intercom and said to bring our jackets. So all the kids who heard her ran and got their jackets, witch separated all the classes. Except the teachers took jackets out of lockers and took then to the atrium. So then kids could get them after we were let back in the building, but some peoples things got lost and were never returned. Also, it was about half an hour before we were let back in the building so they had to wait instead of being warm. Also, some kids were wearing short sleeves and pants! The teachers were taking away cell phones if you were using them too. That is a bad move because the parents should know what is happening at the school. Now the school sent out a robot call to the parents about what was happening, but they said we were walked to the fire station and everything was fine. We were sent to the fire station and all but some kids were put on buses to go to Southwest High School. The school didn’t mention anything about that in the call. Also we didn’t know who went to Southwest until we were back in the gym and did role call. Now what if someone had a doctor appointment and their parents needed to pick them up? The parents would get the call, go to the fire station, search through tons of kids, then hear that they are at Southwest, go to Southwest and finally get their kid. I sear that this will not I repeat NOT be the last time this happens.
We have these weird tests at school where you are supposed to remember the definitions of a word. I have to say that they are completely useless. What I do is memorize the words, get a good grade, and forget that they exist. So if that is all that they do for me, which is nothing because I don't need or want them to talk weirdly, then why do we have them? I really don't see the point of Language Arts class. When will I ever need this weird vocabulary, never! Unless you are going to work in a very specialized job then you don't need this class. At least after you know how to read. I think that basic school is important, you need to know addition and reading and writing and stuff like that, but this really complicated functions and weird words is just a waste of time. Sometimes when I ask my parents about a math problem that is being taught to us now, they have to read the textbook to understand how to do it because they don't need to use that math and they forgot how to do it. Or the schools in the olden days were smart and they didn't waste time on stuff that they new would be useless to most people out there today.
Video games are amazing. You can do whatever you want alone or with other people, and you are in total control. No laws or limits to what you can do. That is the way of technology. You can also design anything you want, buy anything you want, and watch anything you want. And technology brought Bill Gates to where he is today. The only school you need is reading, writing, and simple math. Bill Gates dropped out of school and now his one of the richest people in the world. And it wasn't some weird art school and specialized math that got him there, it was technology. Also the basic school is not interesting to people. And if you can't keep their attention then you are losing lots of valuable time. I know that if I am bored information goes in one ear and out the other. And trust me, this happens a lot.
I got a day off today because of parent teacher conferences. It was what I needed because I finished my homework and I cleaned the house and I watched YouTube a lot. It was very nice because now I can look forward go the rest of the 4 day weekend! (I got today and President's Day off!) So now I am going to have friends over for and hang out maybe. I should though and party! And then it will all be ruined by school starting again, but let's not dwell on that..... yet.
The homework is already coming in great quantities and I have more than ever! One of them is to translate 150 words from Spanish to English! Why do we have that?!?!? Just give us the translations so that we can do more important things please! Also there's another worksheet in Spanish class too! I don't understand why we have so much homework now! Also there's another project coming up as well as more tests. Can we get a break please?!?
